Construction of concrete Head and Tail Unit structures for a new conveyor for mining operations. This project took place at NZ Steel’s Mine Site located at Waikato North Head Peninsula. The remote location and sand base posed all sorts of complex constructability and access issues.

Construction activities included:

• Bulk excavation & prep of foundations

• Concrete foundations and 5m high retaining walls

• Supply and installation of holding down bolts

• Grouting to structure base plates and machine basses
